23rd April 2010 @ Tower 2 Cybercity , Magarpatta This was the first time ever that i got a individual farewell. I had to say goodbye to the 3.X years that I spend in Amdocs DVCI and in APRM too :). I had to say goodbye to all my colleagues who had become best of the friends in past 3 years. It was a very nice experience to get a farewell especially with the gifts :)
But I missed one thing and that was give and take individual comments from each one of us whose opinions matter to me atleast if not to some other people.
So, here is my part of the Action Item being adressed:
Tushar: I do not want to write too long abut him. In short he is Mr Perfect.
Manages Work,personal life, investments etc very very well. Maintains his composure at most of the times. Perfect person to take any advice from.Boss, please do not change or even try to change. Anyways, it is diffficult to improve over perfection.
Ritesh: Ritesh Bhai, aapka naam ate hi mujhe ek gaana yaad ata hain : Java Java Java ho java kaireya , ho java kaireya .....He has lots of principles which is not bad at all. But it becomes a bit of a problem when he does not try to bend them a bit when required. Bhai just 1 small advice: just add a little bit of flexibility into your system and you will be great. He is really very helpful. Many times he used to leave his work aside to help me.
Sandeep: He is by far the most confused guy in APRM team whom i met in past 3 years.He is always caught between: to be or not to be. Bhai, kabhi kabhi calculation aur logic chodke apne gut feeling ke saath bhi jana chahiye. Ab tu bhi bade log me shaamil ho gaya hain. Never forget what you used to feel when you were on the other side of the table.
Vipin: Mr Vipin Daniel George. Next APRM online/portal ka baap. Very fun loving , very light hearted. kabhi kabhi thode pakav joke marta hain. well kabhi kabhi actually is little more frequent than it sounds. Kaafi time maine usko yeh muh pe bhi bola hain aur usna bura bhi mana but kisine bechare ko seriously nahi liya.Bhai you are going on the right track. Bas do kami hain teri life me : ek bike aur bike k piche baithnewali. Amdocs Software Catalog ko rewrite kar diya kya....aisa hona chahiye ke Main sotware ka naam bolu aur woh automatically install ho jaye.
Ravi and Akshaya: Well, you both like to be discussed together, so this is for both of you.Ravi, yeh padhke tujhe koi farak pade ya na pade usse mujhe koi arak nahi padta.Very good friends, but they did not have much time even on weekends due to their personal high priority tasks. This was one of the reason that I and Manav did not stay much over the weekend in Pune. Both are very cool and fun loving. Both like to copy each other. Be it Akshaya buying racquet from same place where Ravi did or be it Ravi always starting conversation with Main aur Akshaya .....
Manav: Mote, agar blog thik se nahi likha hoga to sincere apologies. Its my irst time , please consider. The most imperfect guy yet the one with whom I used to love hanging out with. very very enthusiastic (sometimes over). Very innovative in doing new things : travelling 10 kms to have breakfast @6am or to have cofee @midnight. But believe me it is all worth. He is the one I was closest to and obviously miss him the most here in jakarta.I still hope somehow he joins me here. We sit next to each other and start fighting over little issues. He taught me to eat a lot of vegetables which i never did. he also taught me to do a bit off chores in the kitchen. But i am very happy that i do not have to do them any more. He was one of the few guys who always had time to do things (obviously other than work) and the enthu too. Typical Mumbaiyya like me. I miss your experimental food, going for walk at midnight, fighting over little little things, bade logo ko saathme kosna etc etc etc .Dude, you rock.
Bhai log kuch kam jaada likha ho toh maaf kar dena. 3 saal me tum logo ne mujhe itna toh jana ho hoga ki I express what I feel. I really wish we could have had some more picnics , of which I could have sweet memories. But, it is never too late. Tum logo ko seriously bol raha hu thoda ghumne firne ka plan baya karo aur execute bhi kiya karo. You will repent once you miss the opportunity.Really guys, miss you a lot.
Work will never be the same the way it was.Bhai log , enjoy and goodluck.
